Yoooo, this place is SERIOUS! We ordered Mussles as appetizer, then had some AMAZING shrimp and even the Bacon Cheese burger was on point! The best tasking everything. Like you gotta try it. For real. ❤️

First time visitors and we will definitely be going back. Our server Whitney was courteous, very nice and prompt. Food was served promptly. And, the food was extremely delicious and fresh. We found nothing distasteful at all. I won't be complaining about the bill, it was well worth it!

Celebrated our friend birthday while COVID-19.Slow service but with situation understand. We order all food it was amazing fresh like came from ocean when we place order.The Lobster, king crab leg and trio wild shrimp. Absoulty high recommenced and will be back.

Drove from spring hill to join family and try the chowder house for the first time. Definitely worth the drive. Fresh seafood not frozen. Scallops cooked to perfection. We had the seafood platter. It was outstanding. Our waitress was Sarah Joe. Very knowledgeable about the seafood. She was very pleasant and attentive to us. Jasmin, the other waitress, never even checked on us - just kidding. Awesome experience

Excellent meal, they have the biggest, meatiest, most delicious, fried Jumbo Shrimp around, I have not seen them bigger any place else. After eating my meal, Matt our excellent Server told me their "peel-eat" were Argentinian Red Shrimp, my favorite, I had to order some, ate one, squeezed it in! Delicious! Took the rest home for later. Cole Slaw was good and fresh, Fries were hot, tea was great! Didn't have room for dessert, but they had a lovely selection to choose from. I have NEVER had a bad meal or experience here. I need to go once a week, date night. I highly recommend this restaurant if you want excellent seafood.

My wife and I just ate here. Its was delicious. The customer service is what stood out most. I would give them ten stars for the service we received if I could. A1!!! She even gave my daughters some applesauce and juice. Can't say enough of about how welcomed she made us feel. We will definitely be back for the great food and excellent hospitality. You just don't get good service with a great attitude like this anywhere nowadays. Owner/management do what you must to keep her part of your team. Great help is hard to find. She's a keeper no doubt!!

We have always loved this place but today we went and the food was good but the service was horrible and that has ended our desire to come back. The one item that we ordered that we didn’t like was the Clam Chowder and it was so thick it was like glue.

I just enjoyed a wonderful meal. The owner was especially sweet to me and did me a big favor. Thank you so much.

We are from Maine...first visit to this restaurant! We were a party of 4 tonight. We all had the special ...it was Haddock and Sea Scallops at 30 dollars a plate! We received a small peice of Haddock and 3 scallops each! It did taste good but definitely not the serving we expected for that price! The waitress was very rude and pointing at us.... asking what did you expect when we complained! Told us we should have ordered a cup of chowder and we wouldn't go away hungry! Needless to say we wont be back!

The food was wonderful and so much! I ordered the seafood platter and my husband ordered the seafood pasta. We were overwhelmed with the large quantity of food and the quality was wonderful. The flavor was spot on and on my fried food, the breading was light and crispy. This is a place to return to again and again. BTW, the lobster bisque was excellent as well. I could have made a meal of that alone! Add the fast friendly service and this is definitely a winner!

My husband and I had a great dinner , the young man greeting us with smile under the mask, the waitress was excellent , the food was great we recommend signature chowder and coconut shrimps . Five star restaurant in small town charm .

Very disappointing we are here now we waited 10 to 15 minutes just to be seated in the place only had a few people then we waited and waited and waited to take her or after that nothing as I said we’re still here are used to love this place what’s gone wrong I had to ask the waitress to please give my husband some crackers because we were so hungry she was very nice but again people across from us who came in at the same time go figure not sure if I’ll come back. And by the way they never offered us a lunch menu as they did the table that was seated at way after us

Service is the only reason for the 3 star review. We waited inside the door for 10 minutes before anyone acknowledged we were there. Then we waited for 35 minutes for our food. I expected much better, quicker service for a restaurant that's at less than 50% capacity. The food was great. Clam chowder was amazing, and so was the almond crusted fried haddock. Sweet potato fries were great too.

Horrible. Service was horrible. The grouper blackened was not cooked. We waited over an hour for our food from when we walked in. We started getting attitudes from the waitresses as soon as we walked in. This place is not kid friendly. The owner would not come out and talk to us either. I am from New England and this is not how it should be portrayed. The food was not fresh. It smelled and was slimy.

Once again....we hit a homerun when we chose The Chowder House. If you want to support your local small business's, this is the place. Food was delicious as usual and Sarah Jo was her wonderful self. I would recommend The Chowder House to satisfy your belly.

Good food but be sure and check your bill before letting the waitress put your card in that neat wireless “cash register.” We were charged $15.99, $3 over menu price on the meatloaf dinner at I’m not sure about the jumbo scallops and fried haddock dinner my wife got: charged $29.99 plus $2.49 for sweet potato fries which I couldn’t find on the on line menu but you can get a Fisherman’s platter which is loaded for $30.99; so I’m thinking we were over charged probably at least $5 for that. To bad. Neat place.

Who would have known. Fresh seafood in central Florida. This was our first visit and it didn't disappoint. The clam chowder was the best I've had outside of New England. We tried the calamari, crab, mussels, and Argentinean pink shrimp. The food is fresh and cooked to perfection. This will jot be our last visit. The staff are very helpful and friendly...

Sarah was our waitress and she was wonderful. The restaurant was very nice. This was our first time there. The food was excellent, but it smelled like smoke inside for some reason even though no one was smoking. I recommend this restaurant to any and all seafood lovers.

They know their seafood and the crab legs were perfect. We enjoyed our dinner and highly recommend you try this place!!

Grew up in N. E. and moved to FL in April, we finally found the best home cooked seafood.We had tried so many and nothing compared to our N.E. style seafood. THE CHOWDER HOUSE IS A 12 on a scale of 1 to 10, you will not be disappointed Judy M

Food was great! Service is a little slow. Only two servers for the whole restaurant. The servers where very polite and they did the best they could but the process from sitting to paying took us 2 hours and 30 minutes. If the add an additional server l think the experience would be different.

Not real fancy, but the food is incredible!! Prices are very reasonable.

Horrible experience! We had reservations and still had to wait an hour to be seated. Then when we were seated they seated another table after us and served them before anyone took our drink order. We ended up wasting over an hour of time with nothing to show for it, so we walked out since no one was waiting on us. Extremely unorganized.

Five stars to the Chowder House and Sara Jo our waitress fantastic. Very knowledgeable of the entire menu great personality on Target with the entire dinner. Will definitely be back again can't say enough about the restaurant and the waitress food fantastic fresh hot and delicious I will definitely be visiting them on a regular basis enjoy bon appetit.

Best shrimp and clams!! Excellent service. Clean restaurant. We had the whole place to ourselves.

Horrible! Called in an order 2 hours prior to picking it up. Arrived 5 minutes early, paid and was told they were boxing it up. Came back out and told me they didn’t have one of the items and offered something in its place. Proceeded to wait 30 more minutes only to get home and have all the wrong items, soggy fries, and wrong dressing. Would not recommend...and I spent a significant amount of money for garbage!

The staff was not wearing masks or gloves but were doing social distance as far as tables were concerned. They said they didn't believe in that stuff. The food was just warm and one dish had to be sent back it was undercooked so was nuked to finish it off. It was very pricey for the poor quality of the food. We will not be going back. It was not like it used to be.

Walked in only to walk walk out! The waitress was so rude before we even sat down. She was extremely rude and then when we decided to go somewhere a else she was extremely sarcastic with a “bye”! So loud everyone in the restaurant looked at us! I was so embarrassed! I would never go back in that place!!

Really good seafood and great service. Highly recommend this restaurant.
